The first in a series of works dedicated to my home city. I've painted many cities over the past few years, but none rival our beautiful city and harbour. This painting is an interpretation of a photo taken on a trip home, whilst living overseas.

The landscape is scorched and barren, devoid of life on THE EDGE of extinction.

The rains arrive, the river flows cool and life giving

Rejuvenation, the landscape blooms the trees abound, no longer LIVING ON THE EDGE

This week....... I worked on three paintings.......... I'd slapped paint on canvas's while working on other pieces....hate to waste paint.....had fun with these...interesting to see how they turn out or maybe there done ?

Its been a while since my last update !! I've moved back to Australia and to a new life. Im excited about all the new projects rolling around in my head, can't wait to further projects started at Acme, my studio in Wilmington N.C. USA., more mixed Media and Encaustic experiments....all happening at Gum Scrub !!
